These were done some 100 years ago and show the King at his "shady" best - the picture at right by Weirix is particularly well known.
His right ear has multiple piercings - three here, although there areonly two shown in 16th century paintings

This pair of portraits dates to the Second Empire ca. 1850-1870. It shows Henri III and his wife Louise de Lorraine (image from Ebay)
She is shown in fashions that date to the reign of Louis XIII, rather than her classic heart-shaped hairdo of the 1580s. She lived until 1605, and did not survive until the reign of Louis XIII, so her portrait is quite an anachronism. This brings into doubt any veracity of his portrait. Images from Ebay.
